We're looking for someone to help build our digital health platform and robo-coach (for insurers).

We just raised funding and need another pair of hands. With 1/3 of the population becoming obese, 3bn self-tracking devices on the planet, and new possibilities in machine learning, we see a huge untapped opportunity to use real world behavioral data to help people become and stay healthy. To do this we've built a mobile coaching platform that draws on mobile data (location, movement, comms), data from wearables (like Basis, Jawbone and Fitbit), and uses ML to hold coaching conversations with our users.

That's where you come in. You and your brilliant mind. You’ll be many things to us: a machine learning guru, a genius with numbers, a lover of data, a prediction prophet, a fifth member of the team, stats wizard and ideally a teller of dry but humorous jokes. And if all goes to plan you’ll help us build a beautiful, intelligent tool that helps people get healthy.

You won’t be doing this alone. And you’ll be well compensated for helping our company grow, with money, equity opportunities and the pleasure of working with a cool startup on a great project.

The Role:

• Creating technology that helps 1000's of people stay or become healthy
• Lead machine learning engineer for the backend of our chat based health platform (NLP)
• Research and develop new algorithms, methods, models to improve the automated coaching of our users.
• Suggest and create effective feature roadmap.
• Working as one of the core team members for a startup in health/insurence-tech
• Full-time based in Perth (open to alternatives for the right candidate)
• Good salary compared to Perth startups ($90,000 – $120,000)
  

We’d love someone with a PhD and some great experience, however this can be waived if you dropped out to do something cooler. Ideally you would have:

• MSc/PhD in a quantitative field (CS, statistics, maths, econometrics, or related field).
• Experience with machine learning, NLP, modeling, prediction, neural networks
• Collaboration – you have great collaborative skills, as well as the ability to work well independently.
• Great example projects, kaggle results, PhD results or previous job experience
